Nintendo has announced two U.S. Switch 2 bundles: Mario Kart World at $549.99 in late September, and Nintendo Switch Sports Resort at $529.99 on October 22.
What each bundle includes
The Mario Kart World bundle includes the console, a full-game download, and a 90-day Nintendo Switch Online Individual Membership. Nintendo values the savings at $37.98 versus buying the items separately.
The Nintendo Switch Sports Resort bundle includes the console, a full download of the new game, and the same 90-day membership. Nintendo lists savings of $27.98. Sports Resort launches October 22 with 12 motion-controlled sports set on Wuhu Island.
Which is the better buy?
Mario Kart offers the larger stated savings and the safer local-multiplayer choice for many households. Sports Resort costs $20 less and may be the better fit for motion-control groups who specifically want its 12-activity package.
The baseline comparison
Nintendo says the standard U.S. Switch 2 price became $499.99 on September 1. Against that baseline, each bundle adds a game and temporary online membership for less than the items’ separate suggested retail prices—but only if you wanted that game in the first place.
