CONTROL Resonant known issues are already affecting some launch-day players, and Remedy has now published an official list with workarounds for several of the most disruptive problems. The good news is that every issue on Remedy’s current list is planned for the next game update. The less-good news is that a few quest blockers and PC-specific problems can still ruin a session right now.

CONTROL Resonant known issues: the 6 fixes worth knowing first
Remedy’s pinned Steam post lists PC version 1.3.3 as the current build and says all of the documented problems are planned to be addressed in the next update. That matters because players do not need to guess whether a blocked quest or sudden graphics problem has been noticed.
1. Evacuation Protocols barrier will not disappear
In rare cases, the Hiss barriers on the 12th floor can remain after the combat encounter. Remedy’s official workaround is simple: reload the last checkpoint. It is not elegant, but it is better than spending 20 minutes shooting walls and questioning your life choices.
2. The End can become impossible to progress
An enemy can spawn too far away to kill, which blocks quest progression. Again, Remedy recommends reloading the last checkpoint. If you are stuck and the objective refuses to move, this is one of the CONTROL Resonant known issues with a confirmed workaround rather than a puzzle you have somehow failed to understand.
3. Ray tracing changes can tank FPS
Changing Ray Tracing quality in the graphics menu can cause a significant frame-rate drop. Remedy says to restart the game. Your graphics settings will remain saved after the restart, so you should not need to rebuild the whole menu setup.
4. Ultrawide black bars can stick after an execution
Executing an enemy in the Underpass while using an ultrawide resolution can leave black bars on screen. The official workaround is another restart. This is annoying, especially in a game where presentation is a huge part of the appeal, but at least the current fix is predictable.
5. Radeon 7000 and 9000 GPUs can have performance issues
Remedy specifically calls out AMD Radeon 7000 and 9000 series cards. AMD is working on a driver update that Remedy says is expected soon as an optional download from AMD’s website. Until that arrives, do not assume every performance dip is caused by your graphics preset.
6. A PC controller may not reconnect with Steam Input
If the controller disconnects while Steam Input is active, it may fail to reconnect properly. Remedy lists the issue but does not yet provide a dedicated workaround. If this happens, restarting the game or reconnecting before relaunching is the conservative move, but that is practical advice rather than an official Remedy fix.
Other CONTROL Resonant known issues do not have fixes yet
The current list also includes a missing interaction prompt for the subwoofer at the end of The Complete Set, collectible selection problems in the Archive, a repeating Dylan call with Zoe, incorrect vendor display prices, outfits becoming unequipped after Fast Travel Doors, screen tearing during live-action video and HDR oversaturation in some areas.
There is also no option right now to disable licensed music, including the Apocalyptica track in the opening. That is not a bug, but it matters for streamers and creators who expected a licensed-music toggle.
Community reports show why this list matters
A fresh technical-issues megathread on Reddit has quickly attracted dozens of reports. Players are discussing preload problems, controller audio, performance complaints and other bugs. Those reports are useful demand signals, but they are not proof that every machine is affected. The official list above is the line between confirmed problems and launch-day anecdotes.
We also covered how critics were split on CONTROL Resonant’s combat and world before launch. Technical issues are a separate question: a great game can still have a rough first week.
Should you wait for the next update?
If your game is running well, most CONTROL Resonant known issues are specific enough that you can keep playing and use the listed workarounds if needed. If you are on a Radeon 7000 or 9000 card, hitting repeat crashes, or already blocked by progression bugs, waiting for the next update is the lower-risk choice.
ZerotoBeast take: Remedy did the useful thing by publishing the list quickly and naming the workarounds it can verify. Now the important part is how fast the next patch lands and how many of these problems it actually closes.
