Fab’s 3 New Free Assets Are Live Until October 6: Asian Canal, Paladin RPG Set, and Global Search Pro

Fab has refreshed its Limited-Time Free lineup with three new assets that can be claimed until October 6, 2026 at 9:59 AM ET. The current rotation is Asian Canal Environment by Leartes Studios, Paladin RPG Set by Polyphoria, and Global Search Pro by SpanZeto’s Dev Tools.

Fab’s own current Limited-Time Free page lists all three and gives the exact October 6 deadline. Fab’s official program runs in two-week rotations, so this is the new September 22 cycle rather than a repeat of the previous September 8 selection.

Using Fab’s normal listed starting prices where they are verifiable, the three assets represent roughly $187.97 USD in normal listed value: $99.99 for Asian Canal Environment, $69.99 for Paladin RPG Set, and $17.99 for Global Search Pro. During the free promotion, Fab masks the usual price on the individual product pages, so those values are taken from Fab’s own search, seller, and bundle listings.

Claim deadline

Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 9:59 AM ET. If any of these look remotely useful for a future project, add them to your Fab library before the deadline rather than waiting until you need them.

1. Asian Canal Environment — normally $99.99

What it is: a historical/fantasy Asian canal environment for Unreal Engine, built around a showcase map plus building and prop models. Leartes says the pack is designed both for creating a full environment and for populating an existing level with standalone models.

Normal listed price: $99.99 on Fab. Fab’s live free-product page currently hides the paid price, but Fab’s own marketplace search and Leartes bundle listings identify Asian Canal Environment at $99.99.

Compatibility: the Fab listing provides an Unreal Engine format. Leartes also says the pack is compatible with its Ultimate Level Art Tool. The listing does not expose a clear engine-version matrix in the public text, so check the product page’s current technical details before committing a production project to a specific UE version.

Best for: historical or fantasy towns, canal districts, old-world streets, cinematic backgrounds, RPG hubs, atmospheric exploration levels, and quickly filling larger environments with architecture and props. Of the three freebies, this is the most immediately useful if you need a ready-made environment rather than a character outfit or editor utility.

2. Paladin RPG Set — normally $69.99

What it is: a fantasy paladin armor set built around the UE5 skeleton structure and supplied as a parametric clothing component for MetaHuman Creator. Polyphoria describes it as a stripped-down version of its larger Modular Heavy Armour product.

Normal listed price: $69.99 on Fab. Polyphoria’s Fab seller/search listings show the Paladin RPG Set starting at $69.99 when it is not in this free rotation.

Compatibility: Unreal Engine + MetaHuman. Polyphoria’s current quickstart specifically tells users to install Unreal Engine 5.6, include MetaHuman Creator Core Data, and enable the MetaHuman Creator plugin. The outfit is resizable with the character inside MetaHuman Creator.

Best for: a player-character paladin, fantasy guards, knight NPCs, RPG party members, cinematics, or quickly testing a high-fidelity medieval/fantasy character pipeline without building armor from scratch. This is the most specialized asset of the three because the workflow is closely tied to MetaHuman.

3. Global Search Pro — normally $17.99

Global Search Pro, one of Fab's limited-time free Unreal Engine tools through October 6, 2026

What it is: an Unreal Engine editor productivity plugin that adds global search across assets, Blueprints, symbols, actors, comments, project data and references. It supports fuzzy search, direct navigation to Blueprint nodes, reference previews, automatic reindexing and a floating search window available from anywhere in the editor.

Normal listed price: $17.99 on Fab. SpanZeto’s Fab seller page lists Global Search Pro from $17.99 outside the current free rotation.

Compatibility: the Fab listing provides an Unreal Engine plugin. SpanZeto’s own documentation labels its plugin line as UE 5.3+. The current Fab product page also says Global Search Pro has been optimized for large projects and tested with more than 45,000 Blueprints.

Best for: anyone working in a Blueprint-heavy Unreal project, especially larger games where finding a variable, function, actor, comment, asset reference, or implementation starts wasting real development time. It is less visually exciting than the other two freebies, but it may be the one that saves the most hours over a long project.

What license do these free Fab assets use?

Fab’s Standard License allows assets to be used privately or commercially, modified for your projects, and included inside commercially distributed projects. It also allows use with compatible tools rather than restricting the license itself to Unreal Engine. You can share an asset with collaborators working on the same project.

The important restriction is that you cannot resell or redistribute the asset itself on a standalone basis. Fab also says Personal and Professional pricing tiers grant the same scope of rights, and attribution is not required under the Standard License. The asset’s actual file format can still make it practically engine-specific even when the license is broader.

Read the current Fab Standard License / EULA before relying on any marketplace asset for a commercial production.

Which one should you claim?

All three. There is no reason to choose between them while they are free. Asian Canal is the broadest content pack, Paladin RPG Set is valuable if MetaHuman fantasy characters are anywhere on your roadmap, and Global Search Pro is the practical tool that could improve everyday Unreal workflow on a large project.

If you only look at one today, make it Asian Canal Environment because its normal listed value is the highest. If you are actively building in Unreal, though, Global Search Pro is the sleeper pick: a good search/navigation tool can pay back its install time every week.
