Steam game deals October 7 2026 are in the final stretch before Valve’s Autumn Sale ends October 8 at 10 a.m. Pacific. Today’s five picks do not repeat the current offers ZeroToBeast used in the October 2 through October 6 daily deal roundups. The headline is Watch Dogs 2 at $2.49 USD, with another tactical cult favorite dropping all the way to $1.49. Start with the Watch Dogs 2 deal on Steam.
These Steam game deals October 7 2026 prices are USD and can vary by region. We are not calling any offer a historical low without independent price-history verification. Verify your regional Steam price before checkout.
1. Watch Dogs 2: $49.99 to $2.49, 95% off
Watch Dogs 2 is the open-world pick for players who enjoy turning a city into a toolset. Marcus can use cameras, vehicles, security systems and remote gadgets to approach objectives from several directions. San Francisco is brighter and more playful than the first game’s Chicago, and missions support stealth, gadgets or loud improvisation. At $2.49, the huge Ubisoft sandbox costs less than a coffee. Get Watch Dogs 2 for $2.49 on Steam.
The caveat is Ubisoft Connect. Steam still requires the linked Ubisoft ecosystem, and anyone who hates secondary launchers should factor that friction into the price. The Gold Edition is also $3.99, so compare the extra content before buying the base game automatically. Compare Watch Dogs 2 editions on Steam.
Among the Steam game deals October 7 2026, this is the deal for players who want a systemic open world more than a tightly scripted campaign. Hacking traffic, security systems and gadgets makes experimentation the fun part, and the brighter Bay Area setting gives the sandbox a playful personality. If you skipped it because of the original game’s tone, the sequel is a very different vibe. See the full Watch Dogs 2 feature list on Steam.
2. Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus: $29.99 to $1.49, 95% off
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus turns the Adeptus Mechanicus into a tactical squad RPG where positioning, augmentations and resource decisions matter more than reflexes. You lead Tech-Priests through Necron tombs, customize bodies with increasingly questionable machinery and make campaign choices. At $1.49, curiosity alone is a valid reason to try it. Get Mechanicus for $1.49 on Steam.
The Omnissiah Edition is $3.49 and adds extra content, so players already expecting to finish the campaign should compare that package. Turn-based tactics can also feel deliberate if you want fast action. Compare Mechanicus editions on Steam.
The strongest hook is how completely it commits to the Mechanicus fantasy. Your squad becomes more machine than human as you customize Tech-Priests, while the tomb-crawling campaign keeps forcing tradeoffs between greed, survival and mission progress. You do not need to be a Warhammer lore scholar, but people who enjoy dense sci-fi flavor will get more from it. See Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus on Steam.
3. The Talos Principle 2: $29.99 to $2.99, 90% off
The Talos Principle 2 combines lasers, gravity manipulation and spatial logic with a philosophical science-fiction story about a machine civilization inheriting humanity’s unfinished questions. It is slower than an action game but much more ambitious than a simple room-by-room puzzle collection. Get The Talos Principle 2 for $2.99 on Steam.
The caveat is that exploration and dialogue are part of the package. If you want pure puzzle chambers with no narrative downtime, the sequel’s broader structure may feel indulgent. Check The Talos Principle 2 on Steam.
This is a particularly good buy for players who like puzzles to carry ideas, not just solutions. The game uses its environments and conversations to ask what a post-human society should value, while still giving you plenty of spatial problems to chew on. At $2.99, the risk is mostly whether its philosophical pace fits your mood. Get The Talos Principle 2 on Steam.
4. Total War: WARHAMMER III: $59.99 to $8.99, 85% off
Total War: WARHAMMER III is the giant strategy sandbox pick. Campaign turns are about diplomacy, economy, expansion and army construction, then battles zoom into thousands of fantasy units colliding under your command. At $8.99, the base game is dramatically easier to justify. Get Total War: WARHAMMER III for $8.99 on Steam.
Among the Steam game deals October 7 2026, this is the one with the biggest DLC caveat. The broader Warhammer trilogy has years of paid factions and lord packs, and owning the base game does not unlock everything. Treat $8.99 as the entrance to a very large ecosystem. Review Total War: WARHAMMER III DLC before buying.
If the idea of pausing over a campaign map to plan an economy and then zooming into enormous real-time battles sounds like your weekend disappearing, this is the obvious strategy pick. Newcomers should expect a learning curve, but the base factions alone provide far more replay value than the sale price suggests. See Total War: WARHAMMER III on Steam.
5. Control Ultimate Edition: $39.99 to $5.99, 85% off
Control Ultimate Edition is the cinematic action pick, but its best trick is making the environment part of combat. Jesse can rip chunks of concrete from the Oldest House, hurl objects across rooms, levitate and mix supernatural abilities with the transforming Service Weapon. Ultimate Edition includes the base game plus The Foundation and AWE expansions. Get Control Ultimate Edition for $5.99 on Steam.
The caveat is tone and structure. Control loves cryptic documents, weird bureaucracy and backtracking through a shifting headquarters. Players who want a straightforward shooter may find it deliberately strange. Check Control Ultimate Edition on Steam.
For the right player, that weirdness is exactly the reason to buy it. The Oldest House keeps opening into stranger spaces, combat grows from conventional shooting into telekinetic destruction, and the included expansions extend both the setting and Remedy’s connected-universe threads. Six dollars for the complete package is a strong entry point. Get Control Ultimate Edition on Steam.
